Strength agents are chemical additives used to improve fiber bonding strength given the existing raw material structure, meeting the need for further enhancement of dry or wet strength of paper and paperboard.
1. Wet Strength Agent
Used to improve the strength of paper under wet conditions.
2. Dry Strength Agent
Used to improve the strength of paper under dry conditions, such as ring crush strength, burst strength, and breaking length.
3. Fiber Modifier
Increases fiber-to-fiber bonding, reduces fiber loss, and consequently significantly improves finished paper strength.
4. Fiber Reinforcement Agent
Used to enhance reinforcing fibers, improve finished paper strength, enhance sheet formation, and improve paper quality.
5. Starch Synergist
Enhances the strength contribution of starch during the papermaking process.
